In 2002, Canadian critics praised her performance in 92 performances of the play. She accepted the invitation to join Stratford's conservatory. This is a course where only four men and eight women can take the 20-week crash training in classical theater. Contractor was guaranteed a spot for the upcoming season of productions and was offered the role in the role of Hermia In A Midsummer Night's Dream.
